MAINE: A Puffin Journey
June is breeding time for Atlantic Puffins so we should see many!.
This wonderful cruise will offer photography, kayaking and pelagic birding mixed with opportunities to explore local fishing communities and secluded coves full of hidden treasures.
Our 90 ft. luxury motor yacht, built on a Dutch fishing trawler hull, can sleep 12 plus crew. It has 6 cabins total, each with private bathroom and shower. Four cabins with a double bed can accommodate couples while the two cabins with bunk beds will house two friends or single travelers.
Day 1
Arrival in Bangor, ME and depart for Belfast, ME and our awaiting yacht.
Dinner in town.
Day 2 through 6
On board our yacht we will explore many coves and islands. Weather permitting we will venture 15-20 miles out to sea for some pelagic birding and possibly whale watching.
We will have kayaks and a motorized skiff available for enjoying secluded coves or a calm bay.
We will also have opportunities to venture ashore to visit local fishing communities or search the shoreline for hidden treasures and always ample time for photography.
Day 7
Our final day on board the yacht we will seek opportunities we may have overlooked or missed due to weather, before heading back to port for a final night ashore.
